These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Oleksii, the developer of Moppy (“Moppy”, “we”, “us”) about the Moppy app for iPhone and Android, the website moppyapp.com and the sign-up pages on start.moppyapp.com (together, “the service”). By creating an account, starting a subscription or using the service you accept these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Moppy.

1. What Moppy is

Moppy is a house cleaning schedule. It suggests one cleaning task a day, breaks it into small timed steps, and can turn a photo of a room into a step-by-step plan. Moppy is a personal organisation tool. It is not a cleaning service, it is not medical or psychological advice, and it doesn’t send anyone to your home.

2. Who can use Moppy

People of any age can use Moppy. If you are under 13 (or under the age of digital consent where you live), a parent or guardian should set up and manage your account. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you need a parent or guardian’s permission to buy a subscription, and they are responsible for it.

3. Your account

• When you first open Moppy, we create an anonymous account for you, so your plan can be saved before you sign up. You can later sign up with an email address and password, or with Sign in with Apple.
• Give us an email address you can access and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• One email address belongs to one account.
• You can ask us to delete your account at any time — see Delete my account.

4. Subscriptions

Moppy works with a paid subscription. Prices, free trials, automatic renewal, cancellation and refunds are described in our Subscription terms, which are part of these terms.

• In the iPhone app, Apple sells the subscription and charges you through your Apple ID.
• On our website, our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all web orders: Paddle is the seller, charges you, handles taxes, and provides customer service for payments and refunds.

5. Plans made from your photos and answers

Moppy builds cleaning plans from your quiz answers, your settings and, if you use the room scan, a photo you take. Part of this work is done by an AI system. Plans are suggestions, not instructions or guarantees:

• A plan can miss something in the room, name an object wrongly or estimate time badly. Use your own judgement.
• Moppy doesn’t know what your surfaces are made of or which products you own. Check product labels and the care instructions of your furniture and appliances.
• Don’t follow a step that looks unsafe for you — for example lifting something heavy, climbing, working near electricity, or mixing cleaning products (never mix bleach with ammonia or acids).

You are responsible for how you clean your home.

6. Acceptable use

Please don’t:

• photograph people, documents or anything you’re not allowed to share; the scan is meant for rooms;
• try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or get around the limits of the service (including the monthly scan limit);
• use bots or scripts to create accounts or send requests;
• resell the service or its content, or use it for anything illegal.

7. Your content and ours

The things you add — room names, tasks, notes, photos — stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only as needed to run Moppy for you (see the Privacy Policy). Moppy itself — the app, the mascot, illustrations, texts and design — belongs to us and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use.

8. Changes and availability

We keep improving Moppy, so features can change, be added or be removed. We try to keep the service running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors — for example during maintenance or when a provider we rely on is down. The app stores most of your data on your phone first, so it usually keeps working offline.

9. Ending the service

You can stop using Moppy at any time. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription — cancel it as described in the Subscription terms. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or if the law requires it. If we close the service as a whole, we’ll tell you in advance where we can.

10. Disclaimer and limits of liability

Moppy is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t give warranties beyond those stated in these terms, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for damage caused by following a cleaning step. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Moppy in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be excluded by law — for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Apple

If you use Moppy on an iPhone, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and — to the extent the law allows — no warranty obligation beyond refunding the purchase price under its own rules. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You must also follow the App Store’s terms of use.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. We’ll change the date at the top, and for important changes we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they apply. If you keep using Moppy after the change, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree, you can cancel and delete your account.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts. Before going to court, please write to us — most problems are solved by one email.
