Delete my account

You can delete your Moppy account and everything linked to it at any time — right in the app, or by writing to us. Deletion is permanent: your plans and progress can’t be restored afterwards.

Before you start: cancel your subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Apple, Google Play and Paddle charge you separately from your Moppy account, so cancel first — see Subscription terms.

Delete it in the app

1. Open Moppy and go to Profile.
2. Tap Delete account at the bottom.
3. Read what will be deleted and tap Delete my account.

The account and everything below are deleted from our servers right away, together with the copy on your phone, and Moppy starts over from the first screen. This works for every account, including the automatic anonymous one you get before signing up. If your phone is offline, nothing is deleted — the app says so, and you can try again.

Or ask us by email

If you no longer have the app, or can’t open it:

1. Write to hello@moppyapp.com from the email address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my account”. If you used Sign in with Apple with a hidden email, write from your usual address and tell us — we’ll find the account with you.
2. We’ll confirm that the request comes from the account owner (usually by replying to that address).
3. We delete the account within 30 days — usually much sooner — and email you when it’s done.

Deleting the app removes the data stored on your phone, but not the copy synced to our servers — for that, use Delete account in the app first, or send the request above.

If you never signed up with an email and used Moppy only with the automatic anonymous account, there’s no email we can match — use Delete account in the app before you remove it.

What gets deleted

• your account: email address, sign-in details and profile;
• your rooms, tasks, steps, step icons and step size;
• your welcome quiz answers and reminder settings;
• Moppy’s state (how dusty it is);
• your room scan records;
• records of your visit to our sign-up page.

Room photos are never stored on our servers, so there’s nothing to delete there; photos on your phone stay in your gallery until you delete them.

What we may have to keep

• Apple, Google Play or Paddle keep records of payments and taxes, as the law requires. We can’t delete these for them.
• Backups of our database expire on their own schedule after your account is deleted.
• If we have a legal duty to keep something (for example, an open dispute), we keep only that, only as long as needed.
